Spruce shoots drink

about 2 liters

2 liters of pale green spruce shoots
1 sliced lemon
1 liter of water
1 liter of sugar
1 tablespoon citric acid

 

  1. Clear spruce shoots from the debris. Put them in a stainless steel pot or bowl.
  2. Cover the shoots with a sliced lemon.
  3. Boil water, sugar, citric acid. Pour the boiling water over the spruce shoots.
  4. Let stand o cold soak in 2-3 days.
  5. Strain the drink through a screen. Pour into clean bottles.

 

Refreshing and rich in vitamin C.
